Who we are :
Having completed extensive studies, both Anna Maria Gilardoni and Rita Annunziata are fully qualified and registered guides for Como and the surrounding area. Italy operates a strict policy of licensing of tour guides and each approved guide has undertaken written and oral examinations.
Born and brought up in London (UK), Anna moved to Bellagio with her parents in 1979 when her father decided to return to his home town for good. She now lives here with her Sicilian husband and her teenage son and daughter. Anna has been working in tourism on Lake Como since 1980. In recent years she has worked for top US agencies, guiding for celebrity guests, garden enthusiasts and special interest groups as well as working on VIP incentive programs, government conferences and economic summits. As a long-term resident, Anna is able to provide a fascinating account of life on the Lake, coupled with authoritative and informed knowledge of both its history and its present day attractions.

Rita is a Bellagio native but an extensive stay in the UK enabled her to perfect her English and she expresses herself correctly, clearly and in a confident manner. She married a local and has two small children. Rita has been working in tourism since 1983 one of her main areas of interest is gardens - her knowledge on plants is second to none. She too has guided for many US agencies, VIP groups and horticultural tours. A more recent area of specialisation for Rita is the lecturing field. She maintains a captive audience with her boundless enthusiasm and love for her home town which is contagious.

Biografia:
Anna lavora nel campo turistico sul Lago di Como dal 1980. Si era trasferita con i suoi genitori da Londra, UK, a Bellagio l’anno precedente e ora vive nella cittadina lariana con suo marito ed i suoi due ragazzi. Negli anni recenti, Anna è stata la guida di diverse celebrità e personaggi politici di convegni a livello internazionale e ha fatto la guida per gruppi culturali interessati alla musica classica, giardini e storia. Come residente “straniera”, Anna trasmette una passione particolare per il Lario, lo stesso amore che nei secoli è stata sentita dal visitatore in questi luoghi incantevoli.
Rita è bellagina e lavora nel campo del turismo dal 1983. Adora le piante ed i fiori e quindi la sua conoscenza dei giardini visitabili sul lago non è seconda a nessuno. Ha vissuto in Gran Bretagna per un certo periodo e questo ha reso il suo inglese eccellente. Anche Rita ha lavorato con diversi personaggi importanti ed il suo entusiasmo per il lago di Como è contagiosissimo.
